This is a very interesting picture that show you under the glass repaired area of the star ruby very fine sharp and iridescent rutile needles. This is interesting to understand that its not because you can observe sharp rutile neddles that a stone was not heated or treated. Here the glass filling was simply performed at a temperature lower than 1000 degres celsius...
