As the Gemology Lab Manager at AIGS, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our state-of-the-art gemological laboratory. You will oversee gemstone testing, analysis, and certification processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :

Lab Operations: Oversee and manage all aspects of the gemological laboratory, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Gem Testing: Supervise and perform gemstone testing, identification, and grading using advanced gemological equipment and techniques.

Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality control measures to uphold the accuracy and integrity of all assessments and certifications.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of gemologists and laboratory technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.

Client Interaction: Effectively communicate with clients, addressing their inquiries, providing updates on the status of assessments, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of gemological instruments and equipment to ensure their accuracy and reliability.

Data Management: Manage data and records related to gem assessments, maintaining a secure and organized database.

Qualification :

A bachelor's or master's degree in Gemology, Geology, or a related field.

Gemological certifications (e.g : AG, GG, FGA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Substantial experience (minimum of 5 years) in managing a gemological laboratory.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively.

Proficiency in English is required, and Chinese as a additional language proficiency is a plus.

In-depth knowledge of gemological equipment and testing methods.

Exceptional data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel and relocate as necessary.

The ideal candidate should be a skilled and experienced jewelry designer with expertise in using Procreate software for digital jewelry design for both design sketching and 3D Jewlery Design. The Procreate Digital Jewelry Design Class Teacher will play a vital role in imparting knowledge, fostering creativity, and enhancing the technical skills of our students.
